At Ballancrest Academy, we go beyond state and national benchmarks to provide an exceptional early learning experience. By integrating the ScienceStart! curriculum with the NC Foundation for Early Learning and Development standards, we have established ourselves as a leader in advanced preschool education in our community.
Our facility is thoughtfully located—tucked away from the hustle and bustle while remaining conveniently accessible. Inside, our bright and engaging classrooms are designed to support hands-on, inquiry-based learning. Outside, our purposefully designed play area fosters interactive play, encouraging both physical activity and social development.
Classrooms and Tuition Rates
At Ballancrest Academy, our classrooms are organized by age and led by degree-holding, compassionate, and highly experienced educators. We prioritize small class sizes and low teacher-to-student ratios to ensure each child's development is given individualized attention. Our curriculum encompasses key areas such as cognitive skills, music, language development, science, social studies, and physical education. We also incorporate technology into our lessons through the use of a smartboard system.
Our tuition rates are structured by age, classroom, and schedule, as follows:
Monday to Friday Tuition Schedule:
Infants: $477/week | $2,051/month
Toddlers: $447/week | $1,922/month
Two-Year-Olds: $414/week | $1,780/month
Three to Five-Year-Olds (Preschool & Pre-K): $385/week | $1,655/month
Holiday Closures
At Ballancrest Academy, we observe several holidays throughout the year. Our facility will be closed for the following holidays in the 2025 calendar year:
January 20th – Martin Luther King Jr. Day
February 17th – President’s Day
May 26th – Memorial Day
July 4th – Independence Day
September 1st – Labor Day
November 28th & 29th – Thanksgiving Break
December 22nd – 26th – Winter Break
Nutrition: A Key Component of Our Program
At Ballancrest Academy, we recognize that nutrition plays a crucial role in your child's development. As part of your tuition, we provide balanced meals throughout the day: a breakfast-style snack from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and an afternoon snack from 2:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m..
Our private chef creates delicious and nutritious meals that introduce two to three new menu items each month. We prioritize organic fruits, vegetables, and dairy products, and other menu items are either made in-house or carefully selected for their nutritional value. To ensure the safety and dietary preferences of all our students, our facility is peanut- and tree nut-free, and we do not serve beef or pork in our meals.

Ballancrest Academy is a Five-Star, family-owned early learning center that has been providing exceptional early childhood education to South Charlotte, North Carolina, since 2010. We offer full-time care for children ranging from six weeks old through transitional kindergarten. Our curriculum is designed to be the most advanced, nurturing, and engaging, fostering each child's growth and development in a fun and supportive environment.
