Learning Begins At Our Academy
When it comes to educating children, Ballancrest Academy proudly exceeds all state and national standards. Using a ScienceStart! curriculum with the incorporation of NC Foundation for Early Learning and Development standards, we have become the leader in advanced preschool education in our local area.
Our facility is strategically nestled away from the hustle and bustle of daily life, yet still close to everywhere you need to be. We are fully equipped with bright, beautiful classrooms suitable for the many activities geared around our hands-on science curriculum and an outdoor play area specially designed to foster interactive play.
Classrooms and Tuition Rates
Our classrooms are structured by age and led by Degreed, caring, and extensively experienced teachers. We maintain small class sizes and low teacher-to-student ratios, so we can focus on each child's individual development. Lessons focus on cognitive skills, music, language building, science and social studies, and physical education. Our implementation of a smartboard system allows for the incorporation of technology. Tuition rates are based on age/classroom/schedule as follows:
Monday to Friday Tuition Schedule:
• Infants: $477 week/$2,051 month
• Toddlers: $447 week/$1,922 month
• Two-Year Olds: $414 week/$1,780 month
• Three to Five Year Olds: (Preschool & Pre-K Program): $385 week/$1655 month
Holiday Closings
Our facility observes various holidays throughout the year. We are closed for the following holidays in the 2024 calendar year:
February 19th – President’s Day
March 29th – Professional Development
May 27th- Memorial Day
July 4th & 5th – Independence Day
September 2nd– Labor Day
November 28th & 29th – Thanksgiving Break
December 23rd – 27th Winter Break
*January 1st, 2025 – Closed for New Year’s Day
Nutrition
In addition to education, nutrition is an important element of our program. Your tuition includes a breakfast-style snack between 8:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m., lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and afternoon snack from 2:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Our private chef plans delicious, nutritious meals for your child and introduces two or three new menu items each month. Our fruit, vegetables, and dairy products are all organic. Other menu items are either made in-house or selected based on nutritional value. Our facility is peanut- and tree nut-free, and no beef or pork products are used in our meals.

Ballancrest Academy is a Five Star, Family-owned, learning center that has been providing excellence in Early Childhood Education to South Charlotte, North Carolina, since 2010. We offer full-time care to children from six weeks through transitional kindergarten. Our curriculum is the best, most advanced, nurturing, and fun program designed to foster your child's growth and development. We strive to meet and exceed our parents' needs, by providing individualized attention and care to their children. Our Owner & Director, is onsite every day to oversee operations and ensure the staff are providing the very best in educational services to all of our students.
